About Cloak
A band that calls Tribulation, Watain and Young And In The Way as their main influences as well as Dissection, Deep Purple and Fields Of The Nephilim is difficult to classify stylistically. Cloak from Atlanta in the US refer to their music as Blackened Death Rock. Thus, the basic framework inspired by the Black Metal is enhanced by rock elements, such as a melodic guitar work and a subtle use of blast beats. Guest musicians contribute piano and cello parts to the intros and intermissions that make up the atmospheric set pieces, as shown on their two albums To Venomous Depths (2017) and The Burning Dawn (2019).
