Cancelled: Example

Born in London as Elliot John Gleave, the artist known simply as Example took his stage name from his initials “e.g.”, the abbreviation of the Latin phrase meaning “for example”. The artist began his career while studying at Royal Holloway, where he recorded a concept album for the university's film department. A Pointless Song [2004], one of the tracks recorded there, became his first single. Example's debut album What We Made was released in 2007. Released in 2009, Watch the Sun Come Up reached the Top 20 of the UK pop charts, while tracks Won't Go Quietly and Kickstarts reached the Top 10 and topped the dance charts. Example has collaborated with artists such as Calvin Harris and Chase & Status, among others, when creating his tracks. In 2022 Example released his eighth studio album We May Grow Old But We Never Grow Up.
