The Flechtwerk der Dinge is a permanent exhibition that continually links the university's collections in new ways. Things from different scientific disciplines thus come together in unexpected ways: What connects an ice-age rock sample to a record? What comparisons can be made between vertebrate respiratory organs and church paintings? A digital guide opens up the diversity and (in)comparability of things, historical developments and the use of things in research and teaching.
