About Jess Ribeiro
Jess Ribeiro is an award winning singer songwriter from Australia, inspired by artists as diverse as The Velvet Underground to Dusty Springfield. Ribeiro will release a new album called Summer of Love in April 2024.
Ribeiro released her folk-country debut album My Little River in 2012, followed by a slow-burning indie-noire album called Kill It Yourself. Album number three, Love Hate (2019) was produced by Ben Edwards (Aldous Harding / Marlon Williams). On Love Hate Ribeiro traverses the landscapes of love: its amorous peaks, its rough rivers, and its dark valleys. Much like a concept album – Ribeiro ponders the metamorphosis of the many stages of love –attraction, passion, infatuation, adulation, longing, submissiveness, and madness. Ribeiro’s songs are cinematic in scope: it’s music that travels, across deserts like a Western, through city streets like Film Noir.
