Open workshop for children at Zachęta.

Together the children will get acquainted with Piotr Uklański's work Un-titled (Szero open) located at the exhibition L tears of happiness. It has the form of a large textile sculpture. Together with the presenters, they will look for associations with it and try to guess what materials it consists of. Then, in the workshop room, they will learn about the different types of fabric - from natural ones such as linen or cotton to synthetic ones such as polyester. As part of sensory play, we will look for the ones that are most pleasant to the touch and find out what uses they have. Once familiarised with the different materials, they will use them to play games that interfere with space and the body, and finally create their own spatial textile collages in the shape of trees, following the example of Piotr Uklański's work.
