About Monika Lidke
Monika Lidke is a polish singer and composer of jazz and folk music. She was born in Malczyce and when she was four moved with her parents to Lublin where she stayed until her college years. As a teenager she learned to play classic guitar. In 1992 Lidke left Poland to study languages in Paris. It was there that she learned how to sing. In 2005 she moved to London where she currently records her albums. In 2009 she debuted with her studio album "Waking up to Beauty". May 2014 have seen another release titled "If I Was to Describe You" with featured performances from Janek Gwizdała, Shez Raja and Basia Trzetrzelewska.
