About Ostrich Quartet
Czech Jazz Quartet began playing together in the spring of 2013 and the first concert was held in October of the same year. After a long break, the kvatrtet appear in the Czech Jazz Jazz competition, Fruit, which successfully won the 2014. As the winner of the Jazz Fruit 2014, the Quartet shared the podium with Tingvall Trio, Austrian jazz pianist David Helbockem and featured in the live broadcast of the TV show "the dot Friday night".
In the fall of 2014, the Quartet placed second in the českopolské Jazz Mlodego Jazz competition Powiew 2014 and recorded a live concert at the radio station "Czech Radio". The recording was sent to the European Jazz Competition.
In March 2015, a Quartet of podium with the famous bassist and vocalist Richard Bonou on the Festival Jazzinec and April 2015 was chosen as the first ever Quartet Czech band and one of the five finalists from Europe to the final of the European Jazz Competition 2015 held 27.6.2015 in Rotterdam. – Translated by Automatic service
