PIO Dynamo

The Prague Improvisation Orchestra (PIO) returns to the Alfred ve dvoře Theatre with a double programme. On the first night they will work with homemade instruments, recycled materials and traditional instruments that are specially prepared from everyday materials. Then on the second evening they will perform their own interpretations of several graphic scores, including a special tribute to Phil Niblock. Special guests on both nights will be Mexican composer, Petzold flute player and recycler of old cassette tapes Angélica Castelló and experimental filmmaker Jan Kulka, who will improvise directly with the group.
