TV Girl was founded in 2010, and currently consists of Brad Petering, Jason Wyman and Wyatt Harmon. Already at the stage of releasing their first EPs, the band's music caught the attention of audiences around the world, but an even bigger step towards recognition came with the release of their debut album French Exit in 2014. On it, a combination of sampled beats with light guitar sounds and ethereal vocals abounds in timeless pop hookups, and the tracks themselves are driven by a variety of moods – summer nostalgia, love, longing for attachment or even a desire for revenge. The group continued their artistic vision on their next two albums – Who Really Cares, released in 2016, referencing 90s hip-hop and contemporary psych pop, and Grapes Upon the Vine, closing the Americans' discography for the moment, on which they explore gospel and themes of love, faith and death bit by bit. In recent years their songs have gone viral, but despite their huge success the band remains faithful to the DIY approach. TV Girl do very well without a manager or label, and they play out composing or scheduling their touring calendar on their own terms.
Performing in front of TV Girl will be George Clanton - an artist who returned last year after a five-year hiatus from solo releases with the album Ooh Rap I Ya. Associated mainly with vaporwave and returning baggy trends, Clanton took to the wider waters in 2018 with the release of the album Slide. On his new material, the founder of the 100% Electronica label adds trip hop inspirations to his musical mix and shows once again that he feels most comfortable jumping between genres.
