Ukraine. Stories of Resistance

February 2024 marks two years since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine although the war has been ongoing there for almost a decade. We have gained uninterrupted access to images of this most mediated conflict in history through social media, civic and professional news channels, and a growing body of vernacular records dedicated to war crimes. Ukraine. Stories of Resistance is a small slice of this testimony. The exhibition collects images of various forms of resistance, from direct warfare to grassroots social movements in Ukraine and beyond. Refugee accounts, protests, self-organisation, frontline fatigue and the devastated Ukrainian landscape are reminders of the brutal conflict that has been taking place across Poland's eastern border for the past 2 years.
