The Archenhold Observatory is the oldest and largest public observatory in Germany. Since 1896 you can observe the sky here - in the middle of Treptower Park - with the longest movable refracting telescope in the world. In addition to the "Great Refractor", other attractions include the historic Einstein Hall, the Zeiss Small Planetarium and a museum dedicated to celestial science.
