Venue description
The Collection Regard is a private photography collection by Marc Barbey which spans the earliest days of photography into the 1990’s. The emphasis of the collection lies on Berlin and German photography.
The collection includes works by Hein Gorny, Lotte Jacobi, Siegfried Lauterwasser, Heinrich Riebesehl, Toni Schneiders, Friedrich Seidenstücker as well as Paul Almasy, Bruno Barbey and Robert Capa.
Photographic salons are being held regularly with book presentations, film evenings or artist talks to create a frame offering the possibility to photographers, institutions, curators and photography enthusiasts to get together. Also, limited editions and sales of special works of the collection to institutions and private collectors also belong to the range of tasks of the collection.
The Collection Regard deliberately represents a venue between gallery and museum.
