The lo-fi psych funk of the eclectic Seattle quartet Forest Ray returns to the backyard of MeetFactory in May. The band is taking their fresh record Windfucker on tour across the old continent.
The frontman Peter Sumić's distinctive storytelling style is driven by a rich sonic tapestry of guitar, mandolin, banjo, pedal steel, harmonica and percussion. "Making ‚Windfucker‘ feel like a perfect companion for a long, dusty road trip." — Chris Sanley, KEXP.
Opening the night will be Ginger Wizard along with The Peter Jacksons. Ginger Wizard is originally a DIY project of Radomír Szajter, former guitarist of noise rock formation Pacino, inspired by fantasy and the work of Swedish musician Bo Hansson. Joining him on stage are The Peter Jacksons, a band consisting of Káka (Oswaldovi, Tábor), Tomáš Vondra (Orient, Tomáš Palucha), Emil Prachař (Vole, Kurvy Češi) a Pancerz (Jek). Following last year's seven inch, Ginger Wizard is set to release a solo cassette and an LP recorded together with the band later this year.
