The Viewing Copy series shows a total of ten video and film works within the redesigned KinoKiosk. Divided into several slots, the series will begin in March 2023 and conclude in May 2024 with the seventh and final slot. The series was preceded by an open call with a total of 361 submissions. The jury consisted of carrick bell, Helen-Sophie Mayr, Johanna Janßen and Sarnt Utamachote.

The selected works deal with the diversity and ambivalences of intimacy in different ways. Lived, experienced, and performed intimacy with oneself, with the alien as well as with the known finds its way into the KinoKiosk. All three artistic positions gathered within Slot I of the series Viewing Copy deal with notions of commodified intimacy and its relation to gender.

The former nurses‘ station room on the first floor of the Bethanien building will be given a new spatial concept by the architect duo Cainelliklaska, which responds flexibly to the various forms of presentation of the artistic works.
