The Kulturbrauerei (engl. "culture brewery") is an unique cultural center at the Berlin district Prenzlauer Berg, and is a home to theatres, restaurants, cafés bars, clubs, concert stages, a museum, sports offers, workshops, a cinema, office spaces and shops.
The offer is diverse, visitors can attend concerts, parties, lectures, workshops or thatre plays or watch movies and educate themselves in the museum nowadays in the 1878-built former brewery that was renovated and transformed into a cultural space in 1998.
The Kulturbrauerei aims to create life quality for visitors and locals through a mixture of creative service providers and various cultural offers.
The 25.000m² big building complex is one of the few well preserved industrial monuments from the end of the 19th century in Berlin.
The Kulturbrauerei includes the Kesselhaus, which is a multifunctional venue for all the arts. Right next to the Kesselhaus is the Maschinenhaus, where events are also held.
