Movie Barf is a new English friendly film night presented by film journalist and blogger Ryan Keating-Lambert, dedicated to screening a diverse variety of award-winning films both contemporary and classic. Ryan’s late night shows includes intriguing chats with various guests (in person or over Skype in the case of the international ones) and special drink offers at the bar.
In his feature debut, Hannes Hirsch examines the complete transformation of a person who is losing a foothold and is provided with unlimited freedom. The search for identity is related to the constant redefinition of the image of masculinity and the male gay body as such. Being very vulnerable and a nice boy deep inside, Moritz finds many temptations at every corner, and we can follow his struggle to become a mature human being without losing himself. Drifter premiered at Berlinale and was chosen to be a closing night film at BFI Flare London.
