The Speedy Ortiz band will perform on 10 March at Café V lese in Prague.
Speedy Ortiz debuted in 2011 as the home recording studio of guitarist, singer and songwriter Sadie Dupuis, but this solo project quickly grew into a full-fledged band. The group has graced festival stages from Bonnaroo to Primavera, supported heroes from the Foo Fighters to Liz Phair, and brought bands like Mitski and Soccer Mommy on some of their earliest tours.
In 2016, the band relocated from Massachusetts to Philadelphia, and shortly thereafter the lineup changed, growing to include sonically inventive guitarist Andy Molholt (Laser Background, Eric Slick), drivingly melodic bassist Audrey Zee Whitesides (Mal Blum, Little Waist), and heavy-hitting drummer Joey Doubek (Pinkwash, Downtown Boys). Rabbit Rabbit (2023) is the first album to feature all members of the band.
Fourtuna is the musical project of the German actress and filmmaker Emily Brandi, who has been living in Prague for several years. Her first EP Who Cares About The World was released during 2021 and musically moves between dream-pop motifs and strong, melancholic tunes.
