The strict Texan father – head of the Von Erich family – will do anything to ensure that his sons achieve in the sport what he himself has failed to do. Behind the scenes of the professional wrestling spectacles for which America went mad in the 1980s, however, are brutal training sessions, broken characters, crossed-out dreams and battered brotherly relationships. Parental ambition turns out to be a curse for the sons – blow after blow falls on the Von Erichs. Can the hitherto invincible brothers escape the doom hanging over them?
