The building is located in a late Baroque burgher house, which was built into the barbican of the Michael's Tower with an adjacent moat. On its ground floor, as early as in the 16th century, there was a pharmacy called U Červeného raka, which operated here continuously until 1953, when it was closed down as part of the reorganisation of the pharmacy network in Slovakia and handed over for museum purposes. The space is equipped with original pharmacy furnishings in the Empire style from the early 19th century. The atmosphere is completed by late Baroque paintings from the end of the 18th century, which depict the architecture with a balustrade with three figural compositions with the theme of healing. In the past, the pharmacy functioned as the Museum of Pharmacy, but is now used as a visitor centre where visitors can buy tickets for Michael's Tower.
