The ensemble For Several Friends was founded because of a collective desire to devote attention to seldom performed but worthy chamber repertoire that also demands a joyous approach to seeking and discovering the endless possibilities for the music’s interpretation. It focuses mainly on the music of the British Isles during the Restoration of the monarchy after the Civil War, in the second half of the 17th century, and on the works of prominent composers such as Henry Purcell and Matthew Locke and their lesser-known contemporaries.
