This year’s FAMUFEST guest is the polish director Agniszka Holland, which is also one of the FAMU graduates. The screening of her film Spoor will be followed by a discussion for about 60 minutes. This programme is in Czech only.**

Spoor / Agnieszka Holland / Sweden, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany 2017 / 128 min – A string of enigmatic murders occurs on the Czech-Polish border during hunting season. Have the local animals decided to administer their own brand of justice? Janina Dušejko (Agnieszka Mandat), a retired English teacher turned fervent advocate for animal rights, looks for the truth alongside Czech entomologist Boros (Miroslav Krobot). Adapted from the acclaimed novel by Nobel Prize laureate Olga Tokarczuk, this ambitious cinematic journey traverses multiple genres, weaving a captivating narrative that has captured the prestigious Silver Bear Prize at the esteemed Berlin International Film Festival.
